Southern Documentary FundTrails of Rosin Dust / Episode 4: Texas & the Southwestern Round Up
- SDF Sponsored, Trails of Rosin Dust
Across the wide-open Southwest, fiddlers carry a sound shaped by dance halls, rodeos, Mexican mariachi and generations of contests, where traditions collide and musical showdowns push the fiddle to its limits.
Like cowboys cattling across plains, rocky mountains, and twisted sand deserts, these fiddlers carry their music west, converging at the 70-year old National Fiddle Contest, bringing together styles, stories, and generations in a final test of tradition and skill.
