Apply to Be PineCone’s Next Leader

PineCone’s board of directors is seeking our next executive director, who will be taking the reins from longtime leader David Brower as he retires. Could it be you? Or someone you know?

This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-centered leader who is passionate about music, culture, community, and the power of the arts to connect people across generations and backgrounds.

PineCone, based in Raleigh, has a strong reputation, deep community roots, and meaningful opportunities ahead as it continues to preserve, present, and promote traditional music in the Triangle. The organization, founded in 1984, produces the Raleigh Wide Open Music Festival, as well as an annual ticketed Down Home Concert Series, frequent workshops on traditional instruments and music styles, regular showcases and jams, and opportunities for young pickers.

The executive director is part of a staff of three and reports to an 11-member board of directors. We are a resident company of the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. Learn more about the executive director position and find an application at the button below.
